+1 my vote is for saturday. Mainly because of work. Not that i expect the plans to change for me. That would be selfish. But the weather might be in my favor

 

Ill try to make it out there and meet some of you guys. I got a nasty exhaust leek going on right now and my car is slow and sounds like crap. But as lots of others have stated saturday would be better day cause friday looks like a sure day for rain.

 

I actually might wind up driving my miata out there, as the DSM is running like **** (as usual) and I need to stretch its legs anyways..

Though I doubt I'll be able to keep up on the highway..

 

Whats wrong with it....Tuning issues? Boost leaks? Either way, Id gladly help out.

I was about to offer you the use of my UEGO since I have no use for it in a car w/out a motor, but Its sitting nicely in the welded bung on my buschur 3" and I really don't feel like uninstalling and wiring it up haha...If Sekula lets you use the LM1 I'll help you tho, Ive tuned quite a few SAFC cars (including my own)...Not that you don't know what your doing, Im sure you know your **** as well

DSMTALK'rs are pretty psyched but optimistic due to the weather...If a rescheduling is in order, no big deal, just might lose some attendance due to the confusion....I still predict a decent turnout! Unfortunately, at least 5 people have already told me they don't plan on showing up in their OWN dsm

Random, but some pics of last falls 'Illinois Meetup' group pic....There was about 40-60 dsm's and about 10 'others' that showed up at various times of the day...We are planning a similarly sized one that I will talk about later in the month when we begin further planning....Its basically an Evo/AWD vs FWD dsm 'Showdown' .....Over 100 cars expected and even more with the help of you guys! DSM'rs from michigan, wisconsin and other midwest area's are building cars with intentions of coming down here

Boost leak city, thats my problem.. Though I have a feeling it's just the damn couplers again, I've already snapped 2 of the t-bolts in half. I'm probably going to wind up tearing the couplers off and checking each one for leaks, then buying new clamps.

awww ur so sweet. And yes the partner in crime will be there if i am. So u two can cause as much trouble as possible. She is a little moody now that she is building a little one. ;-)

sal and janette had a baby yesterday so im told, hector and kim had their baby this summer, little jerry is getting married in july and now you guys.... busy past and up coming year for evom members....

if the meet changes to saturday, i will be there, just a little late...

the meet is still friday as now on all the forecasts it says its supposed to be part sunny, part cloudy and no rain, which is just like saturday....so for now its still friday the 9th as planned...its supposed to be around 45 degrees and no rain on friday.....

 

now it changed again lol....i will give final date tomorrow for sure,as the forecast will be the most accurate tom!

For those interested in the autocross run by the Polish Automobile Club of America got this email today.

To all –

There will be a mandatory meeting for all drivers that will be participating in Auto-Sprint series of 2007. We have postponed our first event; hopefully will be able to run the first event later this month in Maywood Park. It’s a large parking lot and will be able to make a high-speed course…With that said; we are looking to gather as many club members as possible before the Auto-Sprint series begins. Membership cost is $60 per year, and will help us buy a good timing system, provide security deposit for Maywood Park track, and get new cones.

The meeting will be in 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant (1070 S. Milwaukee, Wheeling, IL 60090)

March 10th at 3.00 p.m.

It is in your hands that will begin our season as soon as possible, so please come join us on Saturday.

Hey guys....meet or no meet on saturday or friday im probably going to cruise through there. ....So if we have the meet on friday thats cool. But if its nice on saturday who wants to meet up at streets at the same time? How many times through out the spring, summer, and fall do we go to streets, meet or no meet. Pretty much if its nice out ill be somewhere cruising in my car!!! So if ya cant make the meet on friday we should all chill and cruise on saturday as well.
