Gingerman - Track Day - May 17th

The Taurus Car Club of America is putting on a track day on May 17th at Gingerman raceway in South Haven.

I've signed up for this event because it's just about the least expensive track day at Gingerman that I've seen in a long time. Also, the TCCA events are well run and safe.

The pricing structure is as follows:

$100/car, minimum of 26 cars
$80/car, minimum of 37 cars
$65/car, minimum of 50 cars - *NEW DISCOUNT LEVEL WE HAVE NOT OFFERED BEFORE!

For more information please see this thread on the Taurus Club website:

Hoping I can get a few fellow Evo owners out to this event.

There's actually a Taurus club? Wow.

I'll add this to the sticky up top.

Sorry Walt, I am going to be in TN, carving the Dragon that week. I will bring back some pictures for you, John and Andrew. Good luck on that anyway, I want to hear about all the fun I missed!

That's cool... which Evo are you taking to TN? Or are you taking both? Either way, sounds like fun to me! I'll trade you some Dragon pictures for some Gingerman pictures.

Maybe I can get John or Andrew to join me. Although sometimes I wonder if Andrew knows that his white MR was basically built for things like Gingerman and not to be show car.

J/K Andrew if you read this.

I've gotta make a list of what I've gotta do to my IX to get it ready for the track...

- Ferodo DS2500 brake pads (install)
- Goodridge braided brake lines (install)
- Full 3" TBE (install)
- CF exhaust bumper shield (buy/install)
- Swap to summer rim/tires
- Better brake fluid
- Bleed the brakes
- Bed the brakes

I better get to work now huh?

Thanks for making this sticky.

I was mildly amazed that there's a Taurus club too. But, regardless of what the club is, as long as they run a good safe event, it's still good cheap track time to me.

I have almost as much to do before I go to TN and we are taking the IX. The VIII was awesome last year, carved the road well. Iwant to take the IX to see how much better the front diff and active center will help in handling. I have brake lines with few power mods to finish of course! I have a motive power bleeder if you want help bleeding the brakes, just give me a shout.
