Looking for an Evo
Looking for an Evo
I'm shopping for an IX w/ SSL. I'm looking for a dealership with good pricing and selection. I met a few guys last fall when Al was out doing some tuning in Schaumburg and one of the guys told me about a few good dealers, but I cannot remember what they are. So if any of you Chicagoland area (or southern Wisconsin even) people have any recommendations, I'm all ears!
did some reading around and found a hand full of max madsen purchases so i am probably going to head down there tonight to see what the deal is.
If anyone has recently purchased one from them, can you confirm or deny their matching of the south coast mitsu pricing?

They said they had 2 Evo's they could sell me and that was in a 5 state radius they claim. I personally find that hard to believe, but whatever. I am only willing to buy a black ix with the ssl package so what max madsen had wasn't good enough, but they did say they had a black one and it was on hold for the dealers nephew or something like that.
I talked with Mark from South Coast Mitsubishi and he said to call him tomorrow to work out a deal. I also called Schaumburg Mitsubishi and they said Evo's were sold out nation wide.
So at this point it looks like I'll either be flying out to Cali or having a car shipped from there. Wouldn't mind flying and driving, I've never seen the the desert, maybe stop through vegas and lose some money.

Well I talked with Mark over at Huntington Beach Mitsubishi and got all the financing approved so next week I will get the papers all signed and sent back. Then once it's all finalized the car will get packed up and shipped on over here. So it looks like I'll be the owner of a Black IX with the SSL package.

i've already got the ball rolling with the cali dealer. financing through them so i don't have to deal with any confusion that might come out of financing with an out of state bank and all that. so hopefullly it pans out. only time will tell.

So just in case anyone is wondering how everything has gone. I got everything taken care of with Huntington Beach mitsu and it went smooth as silk. dealt with jamie most of the time and he was great.
set up all the shipping stuff with a shipping company, they found me a driver and the day after my car was ready to be picked up the driver canceled because he got himself a case of appendicitis. so i have up to another week wait before i get another driver and who knows when it's going to get picked up. it looks like i'm going to have to pay the first payment before i actually get the car.
needless to say, i'm filled with sad.
