TJ - Just for the record, I'm the one that organized the caravan/ convoy. I also asked the guys at AMS to host the BBQ. And I'm a female. My name is Tina. Just thought I'd let you know.

Sounds good, the more the merrier for the caravan/ convoy from AMS to MOD. Meet up time at AMS is between 6:30am and 7am. And we leave at 7:30am. If you and your friend can bring walkie talkies that would be helpful for communications purposes.

The BBQ hosted by AMS is at there current location (2442 E. Oakton ST.) from 7- 10:30pm.

Hope to see you and your friends at the BBQ too! And thanks for letting me know your joining the convoy.

Just to clarify, the "BBQ" is actually a bunch of Pizza Hut pizzas (yes, we're buying!) and we're meeting here the night before M.O.D. day (Sept. 7th from 7pm - 10pm)

No problem at all. I wanted something big like MOD 05', and I'm only hoping it'll be just as good of a convoy and meet up for you guys. IF not I'm gunna feel bad for bugging Eric so much about having one. Pizza or burgers.. it's still gunna be an awesome time.

Just got an e-mail from Terry Shull in regards to the dyno list. AND.... I MADE IT ON!!!!! I'm soo freaking excited!!!

Anyways I'm car is to be dynoed right at 10am. I need to try and be there 15 mins early to sign a wavier and get set-up.

Because of the current information I am changing the take off time for the convoy leaving from AMS. Instead of leaving at 7:30am, The convoy will head out between 7:15am and 7:30am. So PLEASE try to get there no later then 7am.

It is very important I get there in time to dyno my car. I know that sounds conceed but if you made the list would be excited too and understand.

***So remember:

Convoy leaving AMS to MOD between 7:15am and 7:30am. Try and be at AMS's building no later the 7am.

Walkie talkies will help make communication easier.

And maps will be provided for anyone that needs one.

 

how long of a drive is it from AMS to normal?

 

Should be a little over 2 hours at a decent pace. Cruising could get less than 2.

What is the dyno thing that is going on? Is it at MOD?

 

Johnny it is quoted at about 2 1/2 hours. Easily I figure we'll shave off the 1/2 hour. I'm not saying the convoy is gunna be going as fast as in 05'. But we'll all definitely be cruising at a good speed... least I figure so. Just like lexat20 said.

Yes this year the Mitsu Plant is going to have a dyno set up for certain people at MOD. You had to write them in advance and try and get on the list to get dynoed. And I was one of the lucky ones that made the list. There's a total of 6 people all together and I'm just soo freaking excited that I made it. Its gunna be fun because my car engine wise is completely stock. But at least I have the guts to dyno it and see where I'm at now and where I wanna be with my car when she's done.

 

Thats awesome. I wonder what the other 5 cars are? You mentioned that you are on at 10 I think? Are you the first one to dyno?

 

I can't wait to bring my beat up Ralliart!!!
