WOW! Bout time man. You need to let me know when you decide to drive it to work. I finally have all the parts for my 60K service. Just need time for the TB/WP/etc. and a super long hose for the transfer case and rear diff fluids.

I also picked up an Openport 2.0 cable and a wide band. I don't have much for mods, but I desperately need to improve my highway fuel economy. I just need to get the courage to reflash my ECU (fear of bricking it).

PS - How much boost you working up to?

Paul

Just running the stock turbo to break the engine in, sort out any issues. I do contract welding work on the side, and I have a big job coming up in a few weeks, after that job, I will build the new header for my new turbo. Billet 6765 in the vband housing.

The shortblock is manley crank, crower rods, and weisco 1400hd slugs, FatFab ported head, fp5r cams, just the normal stuff.

Here are a few more pics, cause I like to look at pics.

sweet man. FP5's eh, you crazy drag racer guys
Hey out of curiosity what spool characteristics do u expect for the billet 67? I've been toying with the idea of maybe a billet wheel ball bearing GT3076 or something along those lines, my turbo is going on 5 years old... there is newer better tech out there these days if i can scrape monies together lol What do u think, Aaron tells me you are the turbo guy these days!

I am sure my setup will be kinda lazy to most peoples standards, but I am hopin to see 30ish psi in the mid to high 5's. Target boost will be 40-42.

I have gotten standard 35r cars to hit 30 psi by 4800, responsive to me they are

Pte makes a nice billet 58mm, I have not tuned one yet, but I bet it would meet ur goals. PM me if u like, I am a pte dealer now

Well as many of you know, i was supposed to have my car back last week. One thing after another, it kept getting delayed, were having problems with the timing, waiting on gaskets, etc.

Well today, finally got the timing right, got everything back together. Started up, and ran perfect. Let it run for about 30-45 mins, everything was running fine.

Then we decided to take it for a test drive around the block, make sure everything was going alright. So, i pull out of the shop, turn the corner, and make it about half a block away....

And then it happens. Hear that horrible motor sound that no one wants to hear. I immediately reach to turn the key off, but the car already shut off. So, we pop the hood, and guess what happened.

The mother f*cking timing belt came loose. At first, we didnt know how it could have, because there was no slack in the belt, tensioner looked fine. I leave the shop because i was beyond pissed, couldnt even describe how i was feeling. Get a call not long after i leave, and the shops insurance isnt going to cover it.

So, the guy offered to give me the labor charge from the first time back, pay for all parts, and to have the head redone (broke two valves). I dont know if that will pay for everything or not, and he said i could think about it and let him know. Then he tells me what happened.

THE CAM GEAR BOLTS DIDNT GET TIGHTENED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So i emailed buschur racing, as its only about 4 1/2 hours from me. Waiting to hear back from them, or may try someone local () if they arent too busy building their own cars.

So i had a running car for about an hour....then... BOOM

Haven't been on here lately.

FatHouse - enjoyed looking at your pics... will be on here more often to see more!

Nickie - :-( that's really rough dude. Hope you find a solution... I can only begin to imagine the gut-wrenching that would happen if my motor make a sound it shouldn't have.
