IN EVO Spotted Thread
********EVERYBODY READ THIS!!********
I have found an awesome opportunity for our local Indiana Evo crew. We have the chance to found an official organized local Evo group with backing (technical expertise and discounted price on many high end motorsport brands parts!) from a company I have been closely dealing with called Orion Racing.
Orion Racing currently races a heavily tuned Time Attack Evo (which took 1st place at Putnam Park 2 weekends ago by a margin of nearly 3 sec/lap!) and have numerous sponsorship deals with dozens of big names, BBS, Carrillo, Ohlins, Racepak, Hoosier, AP Racing, etc. etc the list goes on and on. If you thought my built stroker Evo was extreme wait till you see this car it is sick, it has about $300,000 in parts and engineering in it... Last set of telemetry showed it pulling 2.3 lateral G on the track!!
I have been in close contact with the Tony Morris, the owner of Orion Racing regarding my car and am in the process of having it fully torn down and rebuilt with sponsored parts at the Orion Race shop.
Tony has a fantastic private race shop facility on his property and a crew of several highly experienced mechanics and engineers to work on his race car and we have a great time hanging out at his garage. Evos, beers, Gran Turismo on projector with 3 rigged steering wheel setups!
So what we are interested in doing is collecting a list of who would be interested in joining an organized crew like this. We would be able to roll in a crew to track day events and I have also discussed with Tony the possibility of special group track time and advanced driver training and more. It would be just like a normal evo crew but with mad mad perks! Just to be clear this is a private race shop not really a commercial street tuning shop so think of it more like hanging out at a buddies place, not like a commercial shop.
So who all is interested? Send me a PM and I will start compiling a list. Obviously there is no cost to join, so let me know!

Orion Racing Evo doing its thing!

My Evo patiently waiting its turn for some race spec love

Some of the guys! Tony the owner is in his famous Big Kahuna yellow pajama pants. If you get to know him, you will find that is his uniform at home.

As cool as that would be, no. Like I said before, the actual shop itself is a private shop at Tony's place. It was designed to be a race support shop for only his one race car! The benefit of this group to all of us would really be:
1) heavy connections to aftermarket parts companies (discounts on lots of stuff!)
check out this list of sponsors!

2) connections to get track time
3) advanced driving instruction form experienced race driver
4) cool place to hang out at on weekends just for fun/meet

Ah cool, yea I actually live in Columbus, IN about 30min south of Indy but I'm up at Orion Race shop every weekend hanging out drinking beers working on my car, playing video games and sleeping in the garage under evos on lifts! We will have to meet at some point I want to see my cars fraternal twin!

Any of you Indy guys interested in coming down to southern Indianan/Louisville for a Evo get together?
Fathouse, Blevin's has all kinds of stories he tells me. Some have been told 4-5 times and they still make me
He just never seems to call me when your in town.

Aw man I would have been up for a meet in south indiana/louisville area, I am Columbus IN local. There is only 1 small issue though:
We did this today:

And how about a pristine OEM factory clutch in a 400awhp stroker evo that is daily driven and tracked hard, 78,000 miles on the clock. All the people who say stock clutch is weak are talking out of their ***. Learn how to drive!

Damn son!
Tell you what, you let me rock your wheels while your car is down and I'll forgive you for not being able to show up.
What are the specs on your wheels and tires? I'm assuming the wheels are 18 X 9.5 with a 22 offset?
