My Car Was Gutted in Rockford Il

While at a a shop being repaired my car was gutted. They got the seats, including the rear seat, exhaust (HKS) and about everything else you can think of. The car is a 2006 MR. If anyone sees any parts for sale that seem suspicious, please PM me. You can imagine how I feel right now.

Thank you for your help.

The shop is completely responsible, unless you signed something stating otherwise. I would look into it and file a police report if you haven't already. I can't even imagine how you feel, but it sounds like you will be getting some new stuff, if not a new Evo. Keep us updated...this really sucks bad.

Shop!

Seems fishy to me! I would bet that someone at the shop was in on that extended chop job!

^I couldn't agree more. It seems like an inside job, especially considering the amount of work involved to remove everything. Someone knew your car was there. For that reason, I try to do as much work as I possibly can to my own car.

The shop is Tuffy on Riverside. The owner feels bad. He is running it thru his insurance. I already have a rental car. Its a long shot but if anyone is selling, for example, the seats in Rockford then I would love to know about it. The officer handling the case has been very helpful.

I don't want to bad mouth the shop. He is, so far, taking care of this aweful situation.

They didn't take the wheels, and I have knew tires too. I'm trying to by possitive.

I'm shocked they didn't take your wheels after pulling your seats and exhaust. The wheels would have been much easier than that. I hope the owner continues to take care of you. Let us know.

Sorry to hear about that, I am also in rockford (not sure if I have seen you around).

I was in that shop once to see if they would weld something up for me (which ended up being the worst weld ever), and I left with a bad feeling about the place.

I would post up on RockfordRacing might have better luck for info.

Side note: why were you getting work done at Tuffy's in the first place, I know Anderson Service Dept sucks the big one..but Tuffy's??
