Good dyno news for the midwest

Just an FYI - I was over on Nasioc earlier tonight, and ran across some late breaking news that Axis Racing , located in the St.Louis area, just received and is installing their new dyno dynamics dyno this week!

My hats-off to Ron the owner, for taking the plunge on a much needed awd tuning dyno. I don't have the tel number right now but will try and post it later. Perhaps someone else has it and can chime in as well...maybe even Ron!

I have an older business card when they were located at park ave in St.Louis and it does not list a website on the card. From what I understand, the new dyno/shop is in Belleville Il. There old tel number is (314)865-4409, and the owner is Ron. One of the members posted on another thread that they had a recent dyno party, and that they haven't had an Evo on the machine yet.

I told him that I would certainly be interested, and can only imagine that there will be others, both locally and within driving distance, that would be interested in an Evo dyno day this fall sometime.

May want to schedule the event after the Dyno Dynamics guys visit Axis in the near future to assist with user set-up, training, etc to ensure Axis has the inside line on set-up and features!

http://www.axispowerracing.net/index.html is the website. the dyno is up and running. Call the number on the website, it's Ron's direct number, he's eager to get some Evos in there. I will ask him about a dyno day.

You mean good news for people in the St Loius area There are already plenty of AWD dynos in the midwest, such as Louisville, Chicago, Lexington, and several around Detroit area.

None of them have Ron though. You have to see him tune in person to appreciate his skills, best tuner I have ever met. Plus this is a Dyno Dynamics dynometer, often regarded as the best dyno available.

Ron has the dyno installed now on the IL side of the river...believe APR is still in StLouis though. APR doesn't just do the AWD turbos, they also do some work with Miatas and custom carbon fiber fabrication.

Yeah broeli......guess you are right on that note. Its about time St.Louis gear-heads got cut a break!

I am sure there are probably other folks within driving range of St.Louis who will also see the benefit though. And after all.... we are the real "midwest" down here. Haven't you guys figured-out your'e Northerners??!! JK(sort of)

Regardless one more awd dyno is a good thing for sure!

Axis Power Racing is still in business in downtown St. Louis, the main purpose of APR is custom fabrication for race cars. The tuning side of APR was what Ron did, but now with the new dyno he branched off and created Axis Power Tuning in Belleville. Same company for the most part, they just ran out of space, so they separated the tuning and fabrication to two different locations.
