My 2003 Evo 8 was stolen 11/07/2008

Really bites! Stolen right in my driveway. I live in Chicago. I had all the typical Stage 1 mods totalling around $5000. Does anyone have information on recovery? How often they are found and timeframe? I really don't want to find it because I am sure it has been completely parted out and tainted. Any knowledge of what really happens to stolen Evos???

Total bummer! But this is one of the only downfalls of having an Evo, people want to steal it for parts.

Tell me what it looks like and everything. I'm buying an evo in chicago so knowing everything will help me find your car.

your screwed. IF they find your car it will probably only have a shell, or be wrecked.

Don't know if I really want to find the thing especially if it is only a shell or wrecked. I will provide a list of specs so that you don't buy a hot car or can help find the freeloaders who stole it in a couple of weeks.

Someone might notice all these same parts being sold somewhere all together, but very very doubtful...

I worked my a** to afford this car and this is what I get. Never realized people were so brutal on this forum.

Your insurance is gonna sky rocket. Especially since its an evolution. I say you should list all parts, vin (maybe), color, special dings and dints only you know so we look out for it.

Sorry man... Hope everything works out. I'm not going to tell you about all the horror stories I've seen from here over the years about stolen Evos. I wish you the best of luck and the best thing to do would be to post the information about the Evo in all the local forums for your area.

It worked with that stolen Skyline in Canada. May work here.
