In need of some help from Chicago land
What's going on guys? I'm going to purchase a Quartermaster twin disk later this week and I was hoping if any of the Evo owners or guys that have had some experience replacing an Evo clutch could lend me a hand that are around the Chicago area.
As of right now the car has a Stg. 2 Exedy Cerametallic clutch on it (not a twin disk) and it hasn't even lasted 15k under easy highway driving and was installed by AMS. So the chance of a bad install are out of the question. And the reason I'm not getting it installed at a shop is basically because I'm strapped for cash and I can't afford the install cost of a shop on top of the price of the clutch. Plus I'm more of a DIYer (do it yourself) but this is one thing I don't want to screw up so some
would be very much appreciated.
If anyone is available next weekend (saturday & sunday) the 17th and 18th that's when I plan on making this happen. Also on top of that I plan on adding the first "go fast mod" in a TBE after the clutch install.
Lastly, the Quartermaster is a push style clutch.. so if some of you guys like to take things apart and not have to put SOME stuff back in, it's your chance..
kidding
But again, any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Nate

I know you asked for DIY'ers but it is far too cold out and a cheaper more efficient way of getting the clutch in the car.

cold?? Man, you should live in Ohio for a while. Wide open spaces for the winds to whip around, it's not like here in chicago were you have two feet between each house blocking the wind.. And yes this will be done inside a garage, and not out in the street so it'll be warm enough.
And TC if you wanna come by that's cool.. you can be the official "tool getter"
