Got a exhibition of speed ticket with my old car. Got it reduced to speeding 50 in a 35 paid 101 bucks and no points but had to do the ham project.Take the cop to court its worth it most of the time if he shows up you can get it reduced.

yeah it absolutely true if you are caught doing 40 or more over you could go to jail. its considered wreckless driving which is a class A misdemeanor, the only class misdemeanor you can get arrested for. if youre lucky you might even get your car impounded for it. a lot of times especially on the highway if youre caught doing 40 or more over they will just write less on the ticket. they dont have to fill out all the paperwork for a dumb *** arrest and you dont get arrested. no need to waste time making an arrest for someone speeding when there are bigger and better things to tend to. plus calling a cop or anyone stupid cause he doesnt know about the evo/STI rivalry is anything but intelligent. not everyone is a car guy.

ahahh, damn guys, some of you have alot of tickets!!! I got the passport SR7. One of the best detector you can get. You guys are familiar with the Valintine unit right? Well, the SR7 is like an evo and the Valintine is like a lancer. I'm not exaggerating either. I got it for $800 and it works every time. Plus, it is almost impossible for cops laser to see your wave lenght. It is worth it even when it only save me like 95% of the time. ahha, the remaining is when the cops dont turn on their radars, that is when you need to keep your eyes open. Nothing is perfect, even our beloved EVO.

People definately like to talk about the Evo when they see it. I got pulled over on the way to school this year. 4 hours aof driving, then as soon as i got to Macomb(WIU) I get pulled over. You would think the first thing the cop wold have said to me was the "Do you know what you did wrong?" No it was "Your car sounds nice, I bet it's fast." Then we proceded to have a conversation about it. Sadly it ended with, "you know i have to give you a ticket, right?" 76 in a 65..and now i have traffic school in two weeks.

I live in Woodridge, IL. If you were going that fast in Naperthrill you're an f'n idiot and you deserve it. Claiming you have 19 tickets is not bragging rights, it's further proof you're a moron that shouldn't be driving. I have no problem with speeding on highways and such but any road with a 35 is sure to have houses around. That means kids, dogs, bicyclists, etc. We've all done stupid things in residential zones but it's time to think of something else besides your personal enjoyment and stop. Keep it to the on/off ramps and deserted highways.

I believe that anything over 80 is supposed to be classified as street racing as well, so you should get a nice hefty ticket and possible impound + jail time... luckily for me I got pulled over in NJ doin 78 in a 55, only a 250 ticket, but still hurts.. oh and not in a evo, just lil lancer!

hey buddy you can get off your soap box now....i wasn't bragging...how in the world is getting caught 19 times reason to brag.....i was letting people know so they could laugh at my bad luck...and not every road that is marked 35 is a residential....why would i speed around kids...that and it was at 1 a.m. not many kids up at that time huh?

so maybe you are the one who is an idiot for buying a stupid subaru wagon and then logging onto an evolution website...

haha...kidding with you..but really keep the personal insults to yourself

i just always speed the "safe way" as in when nobody is around

insurance is fine...as long as you never change insurances they never know about tickets...
Sorry to hear about the ticket man, just to let you know I work at a place out in Oakbrook that sells the 8500 and can hook you up if you are in need of one. Shoot me an e mail if you are intersted.
