Pulled over in wisconsin, do I have any options?

Long story short, I got pulled over on the highway for speeding. Court date is in like a month, I know wisconsin doesnt have any court supervision deals, so what else can I do? I dont want the insurance company finding out about this especially because I've only owned the car for 2 weeks lol. I read about asking to have the ticket amended to a local ordinance violation that way the insurance company doesnt find out about it. Any wisconsiners know of anything else I can do? And this point system, do you only lose points by going to traffic school or do you also lose a point every year you go without a violation?

Yeah, I was heading back to school. It was right before Holmes road on 94, he was camping out on the shoulder and I didnt see him due to the traffic. Do I just ask for a continuance at the court date? I think I'm gonna try asking the cop to agree to a local ordinance first and if he says no ask for a continuance. Can I even do that? lol, ****'s confusing.
