Tire Shaving in Chicagoland? - Palatine

I popped a tire and I need to know if there is any place I can get the new one shaved in Chicagoland. Before I realized that Tire rack did it I purchased a tire locally and had it mounted.

I'm in Palatine, so any place would be great - but the closer the better...

Ouch... looks like they moved permanently to blackhawk farms. Also, FYI for anyone reading this in the future: as with most shops they will not shave a tire that has been driven on (it destroys the blades).

you have to make the new tires tread match the other older tires thread when only replacing one tire

So basically if I have a new tires with minimum wear in the back. I could just get two matching ones for the front?

And what 91evo said is not necessary.

I'm doing it specifically so that one tire that was popped and replaced matches the other tires tread depth. There is just over 5/32" difference in tread and (as best I can find) the max spec for difference is 2/32".

I called discount and one day they said they could do it... the next day no such luck. I asked to talk to a manager and he had no idea that they ever did it and said that "no one does that anymore".
