GLD this Sunday anyone?

Anyone? Anyone? If I get enough miles on the new clutch, I'll go run. If the weather keeps up, might see a low 13 or high 12 run?

Cold weather + turbo =

What's a drag race?

You really should come to the rallycross at GLD on Sunday. The car is made to play in the dirt.

Hey Mike, do you know what we need to bring for rallycross? I never done this before, would like to know what to expect if I decide to go.

This is an SCCA event, so if you've ever been to an autocross, bring the same stuff. You will need an SA-90 or M-90 helmet, the entry fee, a car that can pass a simple technical inspection (working belts, no loose wires, secure battery, etc). It looks like it might be cold and possibly a little rainy tomorrow, so you'd want to dress warmly and dry.

The way the event works is, you come, pay at the gate, go into the track and register with me at the rallyross course. You are free to walk the course before the drivers meeting. I will have a little talk about the event with some words about safety. I may or may not do a parade lap.

The cars will be grouped into heats, FWD cars will go first then AWD. We will do 2 runs per heat and switch. I'm shooting for 6 timed runs.

You can run on street tires, but don't expect a lot of grip if you're on S-03's. If you have snow tires, bring em. You want to up the pressure in your tires to 40lbs or so to help keep them beaded.

If you have any other questions, let me know!

Mike

I did some reading on your website and I dont think I will be participating. I have stock advans and I dont think they will be appropiate for the venue. I might come down to watch though to see how everything works.

i'm seriously thinking about it!!

car feels awesome today! i'm not sure if it's cus i flipped the forge to sit straight up instead of horizontal, or if it's the weather.. it's most likely a combo of both!.. either way, it's pulling like mad!!!
