Oct 4th, Kettle Moraine Drive to Road America!

Looking for all Evo or Lancer owners, who are looking to have a great drive up through the Kettle Moraine Scenic drive route that I have mapped out, ending up at Road America.

I'm also working out with the Badger Bimmer (BMW) club who is going to be at the track on that Saturday to let us in and have the ability to watch, or possibly even more. It'll be fun just being able to drive to all the corners of the track and watch.

For those of you who don't know, Road America by Elkhart Lake, WI is one of the biggest and best road courses in the midwest.

Let me know by PM or email if you plan on attending. I need names to give the Badger Bimmer club for registration and to be allowed in.

It'll be a fun time for all.

man if I had a evo I would be there. I grew up watching races at Road America, as my grand parents have a ahouse on crystal lake. My best memory of R.A. is getting a hot lap in a f-40 during a ferrari weekend..... Maybe I should just buy one for the weekend.

Are they part of the BMW Car Club of America?

I was just wondering if they were b/c I am.

Yes, Badger Bimmers is a chapter of the BMWCCA.

I'm going to be running my Evo at that weekend with the club. In fact, I'm an instructor.

Road America is a fantastic track - about 4.2 miles long with three straights where i hit about 120 mph in the Evo. But the fun is in the twisties!

This will be my third time running at Road America in my Evo.

Hey, maybe we can hook up with you at the track. Going to be there on Saturday, say, around 12ish?

Do you know what the weather is going to be like?

This sounds very tempting to me, but I was going to take the Advans off, and put the Sumitomo HTRs on for the winter this weekend (I might just have to leave them on for one more weekend).

I'll be there all day Saturday and Sunday, except for running back to town for gas.

The Evo is fantastic on the track, except for the minor issue of gas consumption. A 25 minute session at the track takes about a half tank of gas! It works out to be about 5 miles per gallon.
