Anyone interested in Kart racing.

i have been racing karts for the past few years. it is the most fun you will have in a motorized vehicle. on our race karts we pull 3-4 g's around corners(enough to knock the wind out of you and if unlucky, break some ribs). our karts will do 125mph. at the local track we are geared for around 80mph.

just getting some interest if anyone wants to get together and do some karting. the kart track is located in norway, il. 20 minutes east of Plainfield. the track is 7/10th's of a mile. here's the website.

http://www.jetkarting.com/

they have 15 rental karts. they run a package for $90. 1-practice session, 2-qualifying and then the final race.

i will be up there saturday around 11am. i may let the guys who seem to be able to race properly run my personal 36hp race kart around for a few laps. if there is enough interest, i can bring out a few 36hp race karts if you want to rent those. price will be a little higher for the race karts.

believe me, you wil have fun. pm me if you need any more info, or have any questions.

Do we need advance reservations, or can we basically show up and drive? Any driver requirements (helmet, etc)?

you can just show up and drive. they have helmet , gloves, race jacket for you there. you can bring your own though.

the track is open until dark, so it would be nice to know a good time people will be showing up so we can get some good races going.

wow, seems pretty fun. Its about an hour and a half away from me but I might join you guys if I can get some friends to tag along. That's a hell of a lot cheaper and safer than tracking my new Evo X.

I PM'd you for some additional info.

i used to race cars all the time until i jumped into a shifter kart for the first time. after my first drive i ended up buying 2 karts that same week.

you can race just one time also. i was just giving an option of running a few times for more track time at a better price.

for those who have never seen a true race kart, i think you will be very shocked from the performance of these things.

heres other options:
1st session $30
2nd session $25
3rd session & each after $20
