I use to be the same way as everybody else in these posts. **** cops and they are too caught up in bothering people that they consider out of place....

...but...

...what are you going to think when you actually NEED the police?

I know it sucks to be bothered, but, c'mon...does that entitle them to a bad name? Then let's say you do need them, and they help you, are your opinions about 'em just suddenly gonna change?

I think I heard it best summed up by one of my pilot friends when he said that safety is not your choice. There are lots of people that love you (and depend on you in most cases), and comfortable or not, you OWE it to them to take every precaution necessary to keep yourself alive and well. The reason so many people know about 1 or 2 cases where not wearing a seatbelt saved someone's life is the same reason we hear about a plane crashing in bangladesh - it rarely happens. 99.9% of the time you'll be safer strapped into a steel cage. In the end, it's your free will, but I get annoyed paying higher insurance rates and picking up kids off the road with permanent injuries that could have easily been avoided. Go fast, have fun, but don't let the risk outweigh the reward. My .02

There are bad people everywhere in every profession.

If someone doesn't want to wear a seatbelt, that's their business.

Enough said.
