Watch out guys. More and more cop traps are being set all over the place checking drivers for seat belt compliance. Over the past week I've been checked twice. Good thing I always wear my seat belt cuz you know goin' sideways ain't easy.

Good heads up. I've been checked 3 times myself I think. One of the cops looked in my car and saw the a-pillar gauges. He asked "Is this one of those Nitrous oxide cars? It looks cool"

Cops need to find something better to do . Other than harrass us for no seatbelts. All the cops do around here is knit pick at every small thing because they have nothing better to do because these are all smaller towns around us. I know if they had a Krispy Kreme they wouldn't bug us

I wouldn't call it knit picking. I would call it looking out for your safety. SEATBELTS SAVE LIFES!!!! 'nuff said.

I don't understand why seatbelts are a law. I mean, I understand it, but I don't think people should be forced to wear them. If someone wants to fly through their winshield in an accident they should be allowed to. Just my two cents

I know they are checking a bunch lately - it's been pushed from from the legislature. Not sure why.

I agree with the fact it's a ****ty law. Smoking supposedly kills people, and it's not illegal!

Personally, I feel a lot safer - as in more secured in the seat with my seatbelt on. Just my opinion.

Yes it's safety but it's also our own choice. I do wear my seat belt when on the highways but in town i don't just because it's not comfortable. It's everyone's own choice on what to do and what not. Why is it the justice system runs our lives? You can't do that! you can't do this! IT GETS OLD!! No one can go out and cruise for awhile in a nice hooked up car without being bothered. In way way or another wether its the dumbasses driving past you 5 or 6 times redlining their '86 Big Muffler,Aluminum winged, multi colored P.O.S. Toyota Corolla, or if its the darn cops pulling us over for loud exhaust,no front plate, or seat belts GIVE US A BREAK. Jus my 2 cents

I think seatbelts should be optional in cars, and any/all laws regarding them striken from the books.

Darwin's law coming into effect....

All I know is that my seat belt saved my life once when I got into an accident 3 years ago in my old car so I'm forever grateful to the seat belt.

I used to date a girl that got into an accident w/o wearing her seatbelt. She was thrown from the vehicle while it flipped and helplessly landed in a ditch.
She was told if she had been wearing a seatbelt - she would have died.

I have heard this before. I say **** seatbelts and cops. This is the best reason to live in a high crime area so they can leave us people who don't kill people alone.

Don't get me wrong we need cops to get by, but they think they are god and can do whatever they want. Also they are more bad cops then good ones in my eyes.
