I would wait, most shops are gonna have some sort of lead time, you can't expect to be fit in the day after you call. Not trying to be rude, just the nature of things..

^+1 Devin is the only person I let tune my car. He is extremely knowledgeable and is an excellent tuner. I drive 3 hours just to get a tune from him. Check out his reviews in the service and review section and also the midwest region.

You could always buy a cable and get a custom road tune too.

PM this guy inco9nito99, does road tuning in the chitown area and hes one of the best. Me and all of my buddys go to him for tunes and no body can beat his price. I highly recommend him. You wont be disapointed, and his name is Kunal.

I would just wait for AMS. I waited 6-7 weeks for Bryan @GST to tune my car

You got 4 options in my mind..

1. Justin A.k.a Boltz. he's on the forum here - Boost Rush Tuning does Dyno Tuning
2. AMS -You already know
3. Kunal A.k.a. Incognito - Street Tune
4. Devin. - Tunes under Boomba Racing

There are pros and cons to each tuner here in chicago. Mainly price, quality and time frame. You can't really go wrong with any of the 4.

i don't want to sound like a nut swinger but who other than ams on your list has gone 8s and tuned countless cars in the 9s,10s,11s and daily drives a stock turbo ix that goes low 11s besides, BOOSTIN PERFORMANCE DevinTuned and i bet he could get you a reliable perfect tune sooner than any of the others? just saying. g/l with the tune anywhoo

Give Devin a call for sure at Boostin Performance. He doesn't have a dyno but I think he still has access to one and can probably get you in a lot faster than 3-4 weeks.

Not trying to be a jerk, but don't listen to this guy. Devin and Kunal are both excellent tuners and they have plenty of customer support to back it up. It cracks me up when people 3,000 miles away tell someone in the Midwest to only go to AMS because you're close and they recognize the name. There are plenty of high quality shops and tuners in this area besides AMS, a few of which I would recommend going to before AMS.

what is difference between dyno and street tune??? i thought dyno is the most accurate and precise and you can check and simulate all possible conditions

Personally, I actually prefer a street tune because regardless of the dyno, there is no substitute for driving the car in real world conditions and seeing how it reacts. Plus, with the Virtual Dyno programs that are available now, you can get a pretty accurate reading of what kind of power you're putting down without a dyno.
