lol, no prob man. They should call these things Dunlop Direzezza "No brakes needed most of the time". The grip these things have is unreal. between these tires and engine braking, im good! they may have been blessed by the baby jesus himself
Also tell maciek that the wheel feels good, i havent noticed anything out whack but thanks for pointing it none the less.

Of course man, he'll always let some one know if anything is up and I'm glad that it balanced out is all.

This was my first time going to this event. I've heard of it in the past and know of a few people who had attended in previous years.
They all notified me that the event was fairly well organized and that as a spectator, there was plenty to do and as a driver...your day was full.
I will say one thing...this was not an easy trip.
We had planned to go down with a vehicle that was registered to race, unfortunately there was a incident in the family that had not allowed Jim and Chad to come with (with the first vehicle you see in the APM Customer Build Thread http://midwestevos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7938). Things come up and there is nothing one can do about that, family comes first.
So, one of the other clients we are working with (next up in the build thread), had decided that he was down to go as that is not something he is used to, it would be a new experience for him. So after working the Saturday prior (had a race prep for Autobarn to do with some minor maintenance on an Evo Eight) I had taken the customers vehicle home with me as we needed to break it in and I would do a general over view of the car as I pulled in the garage for the end of the night.
So after this, the wife decided to go out for dinner and the a movie since she wouldn't see me all week and Sundays usually our date night...I obliged. Got home kinda late and thought "if I sleep, I'm not getting up at 3 A.M....not happening" so I stayed up through the night. Took a power nap around 1:30 to 2 and then hit the showers, got dressed and left. Picked up the client around 4 and we were off. He too did the same as me so to the gas station we went. We had filled the tank (E85), filled our 2 reserve 5 gallon containers, loaded up on redbull's and 5 hours and hit the road.
Took some pics of the sunrise on the way which was nice and warm when it hit the car. Being that the car was being broken in, I drove for safety sake (in case something was to be off and the customer didn't realize it) and will say one...there were way to many moments with people passing us up that the need for boost was coming in. That Tomie Arms turbo, the Kelford 272 cams, the built motor, ported head and Tial Bov were all so enticing but we were stronger than that. Besides, too much money to waste in gas over a few minutes of fun!!!
The scenery on the way down from Chicago was awesome, perfect time for some action shots but not having another car...it was not happening.
So, it seemed like the closer we got, the more cars we were seeing, a bunch of Skittles were first, then a couple Evo's, then a Subie or two. We figured we were going in the right direction.
So, I know that for next year we will have some different preparations, for sure we'll be going down on Saturday as all that driving almost made me late to work. Once the wife's car is dialed, that'll be on a trailer down there so the next time we'll have a nice comfy 2500 series Chevy diesel to drive down in. We'll be bringing a few more cars as well as a local, very large car club (with everything from Supra's to custom built 80 trim turbo kit Lightning's). We'll have our photographer come with for some professional photos. Overall we'll make sure that there will be more cars and even more people.
I can say that the event was great, the people were great, the atmosphere worked (beyond the 10 minutes of down pore with some drizzle here or there) and we will be there next year for sure.
Shaun, Chrisy, Brian, Monkeyfish (sorry can't remember your name), and Kristy, it was a pleasure and we hope to meet more of you next year.
