The parts need to be FREE + a check for the trouble.

Normally the shop will pay the owner of the car for R&D.

Please do not rip off our lancer brothers!

if a mod could kindly delete his reply, that would be appreciated. what we dont need is negative comments like that. We are simply looking for a rallairt lancer owner who is willing to lend their car to ADFX racing in order for them to research and develop a turbo kit or other performance parts for the car.

im not really sure how ADFX is ripping the car owner off, you aren't paying labor fees and just paying for the parts at cost (meaning what the parts actually cost). And of course you will be treated well, your car will perform like it's supposed to, why would they make a turbo kit that will break the car? They will take care of you and the car.

But if that's what you call getting ripped off, then please dont reply to this thread anymore. We aren't looking for people like that.

best thing to do is get a rental car. See if anyone is renting the car. Shouldn't cost more than $500 for 2 weeks.

I would agree with Carphoto on his comment. It isn't really negative. Just making a valid point. IF somone is going to put a turbo on their car then parts discount is great. But that isn't how it was worded.

The place wants a guinea pig car to work on for R&D. They don't want to pay. They think giving parts at cost and labor is fair. But let's be real here, they are going to sell this unit after they map out how to do it. Why should someone pay for "Their" R&D?

I stick by my first suggestion, get a rental. Saves them money all the way around and no hassel from a customer. Once they get it running take the parts off and send it back to Enterprise. That's how the the exhaust companies do it.

You also need to think about the lended part for tuning... when you lend a place a car for turbo apps gauranttee they detonate it a few times... is the only way to see the limits and back off accordingly in order to get the most power safely. Trust me on this... that is why RRM gets their own cars for R&D of such things. Furthuring a kit isn't as entense but to develope one is and the car gets punished a bit. DO it if you want but its risky if you ask me. Especially if they want the lender to pay for any of it. I'd rather wait till they developed one with their own car then to be the guinnea pig definately. Maybe they could rent one to do this to?

I am protecting our fellow lancer brothers!

Many of us do not know that we should be getting paid to help out your R&D!

Do not flame me because I will not allow you to rip off another import guy!

Do not flame me because I am telling the truth causing you to offer us a FAIR DEAL!!!!!!!!!

The reason i replied was because of you comment "Please do not rip off our lancer brothers!" And Im not flaming, let's make this more of mature thread if you don't mind CarPhoto. I dont mean to insult you or anyone, I am just simply helping ADFX find someone willing to do what they ask. I appreciate the comments though, but the best thing to do is contact ADFX directly.
