It's a sweet track and a very nice facility!

Would have been there too; but had a NASA event up in Michigan.

I was there as well. Awesome track. I raced at the intermediate level and was surprised to find that the Evo can hold its own very well on this track. I was racing around with a couple of GTR's and was on there *** the whole time. Goes to show you that this 30k car can outperform a 80k car with minimal mods on a track. Straight line though is a different story.

Well i will say this:

Tires+solid brakes = inspired confidence

Obviously you can add alot more, but having solid brakes at least on this course was about the best move i made.

I cant tell you enough how much i have learned just this year starting off in the road racing scene. im sitting at 300 AWHP right now, and at least for now it is more than enough around this track. A solid braking system and some nice tires will take you a long way. Im really surprised with this Evo and how well it has performed. It has givin me a new found respect from the capability you get right from the factory.

After i beat the **** out of it for two 30 min sessions i couldn't be happier. I think the Evo likes the abuse...

I was the white 8 with the gold RE30's. I had a great time and enjoyed meeting everyone there. Without a doubt, there were lots of nice cars there.

I agree with above, brakes + tires are a worthwhile investment. For the next event I will definitely be changing up the tire setup I had. Another tip I can give anyone else who hasn't done a track day, bring lots of gas

Hey guys! Had the red evo 8, I learned not to take a full weight car, w 265/35/18 direzza star specs, w 570awhp, w oem 8 year old brake fluid, and rubber lines! Lol. Live and learn.. Plan on getting a brake flush w appropriate fluid, stainless braided lines, and 2piece rotors up front to help me stay on the track longer next time
