it really does suck having your car stolen mine was stolen last year too, bought another one and that was nearly stolen from my drive way. These guys that are stealing evos need to be stopped. sadly it doesnt seem like the cops give a damn

yeah i know where you are going with that. and no they never touched my car. all of the work done on the car was done by me. sans the tune by an old friend at AMS.

Hey man it's Josh. Been a while but stumbled upon this recently and thought "what do you know...ANOTHER one" until I recognized the name. Didn't realize you had an Evo now (well, did). You still work at the HS? Really sucks to hear this man, hope things turn around.

BTW no reason to call out vendors. This same situation went down last year and the same FALSE accusations were made then. A couple of the guys in the ring were caught too, it's too bad that didn't change anything.

what's up man. i parted out the DSM after college, and then the guy i sold the chassis to (for $400) left it on the side of 90 6 months later w/o swapping the title over.

had a WRX for a coupe of years, and was driving the evo for the past 3. oh well, time to change platforms again.

and yes i am still working at the same place.

the craziest thing about this whole deal is that i swapped cars with a friend of mine the day before it was stolen. on wednesday night there was an 07 sti parked there, the next night my evo was back. i would have felt horrible if the sti was stolen.

i finally got my settlement from state farm (three week waiting period) and they were VERY fair on the price. to be honest i was speechless when she said how much they were giving me. i picked up a 2010 128 on wednesday so it is time to start all over again with a new car.

they gave me NADA, money for the suspension & clutch/FW (i had receipts), tax, & license on the value of the car. i was very pleased.

if anyone on here doesn't have state farm i would suggest changing. they have been great though all of this.

Glad things worked out for you and your insurance company treated you right! Personally, I'll never use State Farm after the way they treated me when I got into an accident that was caused by someone they insured but at least they treat their own customers well.
