yet another stolen EVO in the NW burbs...

add me to the list. i got up to go to work this morning and my car was gone. i am not optimistic on getting it back, but who knows.

car was in the parking lot at my apt complex in palatine. i have lived here for 3 years with no issues. time to upgrade i suppose.

in race trim...

the car was stolen with the stock wheels on it, and a sits lower than it did when the picture was taken.

sorry to hear about your loss man

PS there was also an attempted car theft but failed in des plaines. I don't know many details. I know the ecu was stolen and a window was broken.

wow, well i guess 2nd time was a charm.

i have heard rumors that the ECU swap was the way all these evos are getting stolen in this area.

time to look for an apt with a garage... and a BMW.

i guess another dude in des plaines found his car a few blocks from his house with the back window smashed and the ECU missing.

if you type "stolen evo" into google "stolen evo chicago" is the first thing that pops up. that is F'ed up.

Man I can't believe this garbage is happening again!! Did they ever catch any of the dirtbags that were doing this last summer? Sorry to hear about your loss OP. I hope everything works out for you. At this point you're probably better off just taking the insurance money and buying another one.
