saw 2 evo's last night...(could be the same one tho...)
~5:45pm driving on north on Beck rd just past Grand River(freeway overpass lights)
dark gray...or black...can't remember 100% evo 9(?)...
then ~8pm parked at the commerce costco off haggerty rd between 14mile and 15 mile..
dk gray with an oregon plate...large fart can exhaust and black wheels with chrome/polished lip...also the trunk was debadged
i parked near that one, so i took some pics(horrible i know, but it's the best i could get...that's the best of 3)

Has anyone gotten the recall repair done on their Evo X? Any recommendations on where to go? I called Moran and I think I set up an appointment? He told me to be there at 8am on Saturday but didnt ask for name, number, or even what the recall was.
Always get a bad feeling dealing with dealerships, so was curious on others experiences.

personally i dont like moran...
i worked with one of their previous service managers for 1 yr at my current shop...he left moran and came here at jaguar, and then went back to moran and got fired after a month(from what i heard)
i went there 2 times and they charged me 1 hr for a reflash(and "free" diag) that did nothing when my 04 ralliart was acting up(randomly it would loose communication with the throttle position sensor and would go to failsafe mode and go a max of ~20mph...happened twice in a month so i took it in)...
they told me there is a reflash and that my car needs it...the next day it did it again...they charged me another 1hr diag to tell me it needs a throttle body and throttle position sensor...
so i left and tried looking for the parts on my own and found them (of course) for like half the price...but still out of my price range since they just charged me ~$210....and it never did it again...i drove it for 3 yrs after that and sold the car last spring
also 3 different times i went to them trying to buy a new mitsu and the ONE mitsu salesman(not even in the mitsu building) couldn't make a good enough deal(granted that's not really on the svc dept tho)...he offered me half of what i was asking for my car(which was the kbb he told me it was worth to him)...and then tried to offer me almost double the payment that i was trying to get into...for a base model lancer in manual that they didn't even have in stock and would have to dealer trade for or order, or a base model outlander sport also in manual which miraculously they DID have in stock...
i don't have experience with any other mitsu dealers but i know there's another one on michigan ave near merriman rd(IIRC) and i THINK theres one in ann arbor somewhere...
personally i'd refer you to one of those because of my experiences at moran

I highly recommend his work!
ps. I dont think Moran is open on the weekends, unless thier schedule has changed recently.
goodluck
Make sure u talk to Craig on the phone first, he is thier mitsu master tech and usualy or I should say in the past he had handled all of the warranty work done on my previous evo's.
