Pure tuning - real shop - closest?
Pure tuning has the least amount of experience as a "real shop" when it comes to Mitsubishi's.
Go to AMS if you want to go to a "real" shop.
But nothing beats having a warranty if the car is stock, so if something breaks let the dealer take care of it. Your advice is pretty dumb IMO.

They have more STi experience, granted, but they would be better than dealers any day for work on the Evo. And they have crafts that are raced in NASA.
AMS on the other hand, is all the way out in Chicago (4 hours instead of 1hour drive) and also highly expensive. TRE, Shep, etc. are further and more focused on specific (trans, diffs, etc.) so I'm not sure why my advice would be dumb except to an ignoramus.
Anyways, the poster asked for suggestions and I gave mine. You're welcome to share yours without dissing others based on your opinion rather than experience. If you read the horror stories all over EvoM, you'd never take your Evo to a dealer. Ever.
Do you speak out of experience or out of your ***?

AMS has DEVELOPED more parts for the CT9A chassis than PT has. I've been to both shops, PT does great work but both charge quite a bit.
IMO... going to a shop = aftermarket mod work. Why the hell would you ever go to a shop to have something fixed if that something was broken during the warranty period and the car stock?
If the dealer messes something up while working on the car, the responsibility is on them to fix it. Warranty is beautiful if it's being used correctly, but how many EVO's are actually under warranty?
Didn't mean to "diss" you, just called you out for telling the person that he should go spend money to have something fixed when it should be done for free.
spotted a lemon yellow evo 8 with black wheels, full rollcage(looked like only a driver's seat in it only) and a black "10" on the driver's door..
~11:50am going north on haggerty rd between 10 mile and gd river

If it had a cage in it and a bullet hole/mark on the trunk his name is Ashley.
The event has been interesting in the past. I wonder if they are doing anything to make it better.
