Just change it like normal because even at the first start up,the oil get dark already from the old oil that's in the turbo and engine.

those high interval motors oils are for naturally aspirated engines that don't have external forced induction that rely heavily on the oil for lubrication and cooling. if you want the journal bearing turbo in your EVO to last, change it every 3k miles or less!!

NOT A CHANCE. Change your oil or change your engine.

+1... Anything beyond 3000 miles on a DD artificially aspirated car and you are asking for problems guy.

on a side note. I am close to getting the amsoil 25k mile oil and one of their filters and run it in my Camry for the full 25k interval. Its tempting haha.

Oil technology might have come along far enough to have oil that still has good lubrication properties after xx,xxx miles, but everyone always overlooks the other important part of the oiling system - the filter! What good is the long-life oil if your filter is no longer filtering..?

I'd stick to 3K mile oil change intervals - its hella cheaper than a new engine!

Those are factory recomendations... the same reason why there are multiple things that they reccomend you change at 30,000, 60,000. These things may or may not still function but its a reccomendation based off numbers.

I just drained mine at 11450 miles changed back in June 16th

But this is not the first party when it comes to folks changing their oil at high intervals,,, there is still many skeptics about running high miles on synthetics,, but mark my words in 5 years it will be a very common fact to run your oil over 10000 miles,, ford and Gm already do it on their cars, myes including the camaro and stangs

Egr system in toyotas do not allow you to run 25k , they reccomend 15k on toyotas,, Hondas, Nissan, Gm, ford, ect....mis ok to run longer

Supposedly us 4B11T guys have to worry about the original timing chain stretching on extended oil. That has me scared enough to stick with 5k miles on expensive *** Amsoil. I will not change my oil every 3k when the oil alone is $40+
