Early Spring Cruise, for MN are people
To all that are interested, some of us went to rock falls this past weekend and i was able to muster a 12.6 out of my car. I am going to head to ceader falls in a few weeks in attempts to get a better time out of it, since i could not hook at slippery falls. I know it has some more in her

Next Sunday there is an AutoX scheduled by the MN Autocross folks. That would not affect me, but I'm not sure who might be going.
May 16th has two track days. One is AARRF (www.aarrf.com) at the Dakota County facility. The second is a VSCR (www.vscr.org) event at BIR.
My new cams haven't shown up yet (over one month and still waiting...) so I'd be up for almost anything.

Is your car driveable. I would be interested in going. I have about 1000 miles left on my stock tires and got more to put on and would like to burn them off at a road course. Do you know what the cost is??
Hi Raced, it would be great to see you again! Here's what I have planned so far.
Tonight I'll probably head down to University and sit in the Scoobie lot (Firestone) for a while. I haven't had a chance to show off my new wheels or talk to anyone all winter.
On Saturday SpeedLab is having an open house from 10 AM to about 2 PM. They are located in the Hopkins Business Center in Hopkins. I don't know much about them other than they have an Evo and the owner, Noel, seems to have some decent motorsports experience. Their number is 952-931-9595 for more info. I'll be heading down about noon to check them out.
This Sunday at 8:00 AM I am planning to go down and check out the autocross in the Midway Stadium parking lot. (www.mnautox.com - check the schedule) I want to try out my new R compound tires and get a feel for how well my coilovers are working. The event allows arrive & drive, so I'll try to get in that way.
If you're interested in some road course action, there are a couple of track days scheduled. VSCR has a test day scheduled for Saturday May 8th in St. Cloud. It's a fun track and the cost isn't too bad. $30 to join VSCR and $55 for the track day. Much cheaper than a speeding ticket when you factor in the insurance bump.
May 16th is a track day with AARRF. It will cost a bit less, and will be at the Dakota County Technical Institute's Tractor-Trailer driver's training course.
I plan on attending both of those events. VSCR events seem to require a pre-registration, AARRF events are arrive and drive, but you save $10 if you pre-register. I believe both events allow spectators for a nominal fee (like $5). I can take passangers at AARRF events, so if you would like a ride with someone who is actually crazy enough to abuse their Evo on a track show up and say hi.
For those who don't know, my car is basically a Vishnu Stage 1 with JIC coilovers and a set R compounds. I have some new mods sitting on the shelf, but I'm still wating on more parts and some new software before I can put it all together.
