Car: WW 2004 Evolution
VIN: JA3AH86D44U0686
Up for sale is a Weightless White 2004 Lancer evolution (roughly 2100 units imported for this model year- not sure how many in this color). The car just tuned over 60k miles, and boy it was in the 59k range for the past 8 months or so as I seldom drove it, tis one of the reasons why its for sale. It spends 99% of its time in a garage and out of all the times I've driven it I got caught once in a rainstorm is about it. The most mileage I've accumulated on it is in the past 2 months, driving to local meets and mostly just driving to shops to get the proper worked performed which I couldn't do meself. The car is a southern car as I acquired it from someone in Florida, so its rust free, I doubt it's ever seen snow.
Just this week I gave it a double bath+waxed it.
The car is not stock, and I was overly ademate about keeping up with maintance and just trying to overall better off the car (the car actually sat on jackstands from december-april while I performaned maintanance/upgrades). I've designed my own 32mm(1.25") recirculation fitting to fit into the bov opening as hks only makes a 19mm(3/4") & 25mm(1") adapter fitting and I was hellbent on matching the same diameter as the intake pipe which is 32mm(1-1/4") so I had to allocated all non-standard size piping/connections to do so, and recirculation was key to ensuring no idle issues whilst running the stock maf. Pics of the fitting:

A coupler holding together the 2 piece AMS unit which consisted of the stock j-pipe and 2 joining pieces was in close proximity to the o2 dump, so I wanted to eliminate and potential hazards and installed a 1 piece SS pipe which replaced the factory piece and 1 of the ams ones; the rest of the ams licp was welded/modified to fit with the buschur unit
I've replaced the inner fender plastics with new ones from mitsu, the car used to have 255 wide tires and they tore up some of the factory plastic from turning and I just wanted to have everything nice and cleen.
The factory intercooler sprayer reservoir was removed along with accomodating lines, in leui of this I also replaced the center console with a evo9 unit which has larger cupholders and omits the now rendered-useless I/C sprayer switch.
I went ahead and replaced ramdom stuff like the copper washers on the oil cooler while I was doing a whole system oil flush. Any unused threaded holes in the eingine bay or engine bay vicinity were plugged off with socket head cap screws.
The car has a a SS megan dp and an SS ebay exhaust of some sort, which really doesnt sound that bad, but I didn't like how it was angled at one point and how the hangers we're improperly matched so I took it to a local performance shop (VS motorsports - http://www.vsmotorsports.com/ ) and had them put in proper ones to align the exhaust so it looked more proper and is sturdier now.
Last month I took the car to get tuned at Boostin Performance ( http://www.boostinperformance.com/ ), The car put down roughly 400 whp (with their dyno simulation being within 5% of a real one) at 24psi on 93 pump gas. I know the car has way more potential than this if it was tuned on race fuel or converted to e85, but I needed usable/reliable horsepower, and this is just it. This results in the car driving much like stock, just with 150whp more.
Both the transmission and transfer case have been reworked by the previous owner, and I have receipt for both, see below. Like mentioned above, the car has loads more potential and the parts to keep it up to par; it has been optimized for durability.
I've went thru the painstaking process of blacking out the headlamps, took my time as well, and they came out looking pretty swell. Even after 3 tubes of silicone sealer, I do get some condensation in the passengers side when water is present.
This is my 3rd evo and my previous ones were evo9 models, as with this I was used to the stock sports pedal set they were equipped with, which provided better grip than the stock evo8 ones, so I allocated a set and installed it for function and nostalgia. I also went and removed the restrictor pill in the clutch pedal slave cylinder for better engagement.
The car used to have pirellis 255 wide tires all around, they were pretty useless so
I allocated a nicely used set of Oem Evo 10 advans which are 245mm thick and provide ample traction, although they do have some road noise in the rear since I've installed them. The car rides really well for being lowered and is pretty steadily aligned.
Aside from regular rockchips on the front bumper/hood the only exterior flaw I consider is that the bumper is a little misaligned on the drivers side. The previous owner hit a rouge piece of a blown out tire on the freeway which knocked the locating pin of on the drivers side, but alas it is held firmly in place by an oe and aftermarket bolt, it's just a little misaligned is all. I also think that due to this the previous owner got both fenders repainted, original vin stickers are intact though, as they are everywhere throughout the car. Also the radiator support has some scratches on it from when the motor was being lifter out of the car, but most of them are covered up by the carbon fibre cooling plate.
In the past 500 miles the car has received:
-Vr1 20w50 oil change with mobil1 filter (this oil is recommended to be run by fp for fp powered turbos such as the red)
