Cruise to Factory MOD 2012! The drive is 1 hour and 43 mins from this location to Normal. Total drive distance is 97.1 miles. MOD starts at 9 AM so it's best to get there by 8:30 at the latest. Departure time would be around 6:25 AM then with room for a short stop if need be. We can decide before we leave.

I might be able to make it. Haven't been to MOD since 2005 or 2006...

Plan is solid and figured out for the most part. We are meeting with the Schaumburg group in Shorewood. Fueling up (E85 pump available) and heading out to 55 south to Normal.

Schaumburg caravan:

• Starbucks @ 601 N Martingale Rd. Schaumburg, IL 60173

Shorewood caravan:

• McDonald's @ 631 Brook Forest Avenue. Shorewood, IL 60404

The caravan will start in Schaumburg at 5:30 am. It will then leave at 6:00 and follow 355 to I55 south until Shorewood, Il. Exiting at exit 253 to US-52 toward Shorewood. Making a right onto E Jefferson St. and following that down to Brook Forest Ave - IL59 and making another right. Then following Brook Forest Ave to County Highway 56 - W Black Rd. Arriving at Gas City on the right for all the drinks, snacks and E85/93 Oct your heart desires.

The Shorewood caravan will then leave their location to meet up with the Schaumburg caravan just across the street at Gas City. Normal Illinois ETA would be 8:50-9:00 am.

We must all remember about tolls. Some may or may not have a toll pass. So we will need to stay together around them. We don't want to leave anyone behind.
