I was under the impression that they are $750 plus $30/mo.

If I could find it for less than a viper with $10/mo fee, I'd do it.

Somehow they are failing to market that system to me. Yes, I googled.

I use one of their in-car HD cameras in my DD. I am looking into getting one of their GPS trackers. I'm sure they have one that you buy and it only charges you a fee if you use it and see where it's at. And really how often are you going to check where your Evo is unless its stolen?

If you wait til morning to find out it's stolen, it's likely too late.

they don't mention a theif reaching up under there, yanking it out and chucking it out the window. that's no good.

Well yeah I would never buy the OBDII one for my Evo, maybe for my kids car or if I was a fleet manager.
The hardwired lojack is the way to go.

This one from RMT looks good http://www.rmtracking.com/vehicle_recovery/smart_tracker.php

I would want to make sure it can still operate properly to cold and hot temps though.

what I want is I want it to alert me when my alarm goes off. so integrate with the viper somehow. or alert me when it gets more than 100 meters from my telephone... something like that.
