Stolen EVO MR in Illinois
Stolen EVO MR in Illinois
Hi everyone,
Yes I am a newbie to the forum, but I am greatly against theft. Was hoping to receive some assistance from the forum members.
A friend of mine had their EVO MR stolen from the Home Depot parking lot on LaGrange in Countryside. Unfortunately video surveillance cameras did not cover the spot where the vehicle was parked.
Car has ARC intake box, Perrin downpipe, Perrin test pipe, Borla exhaust, purple ARC spark plugs cover and Falken all season tires.
If you have seen the car or seen unusual parts for sale local, I'd appreciate if you can contact me with info.
Thanks,
Dino

you ppl need to wake up, seriously.
take your trash 2way alarms, long range or watever you wanna call it, and throw it out the window, then go smash it with a hammer for fun.
You want your car safe? You want your car back if its missing? WAKE UP AND GET A DAMN GPS SYSTEM! Someone takes your car, you follow it with a 911 call, and either arrive there with the police to get it back, or if you arrive first, feel free to bash their head with a bat.
End of story. I keep seeing these stories with car stolen, followed by get an alarm system. Do you people not learn that those things are so trash these days? People dont even turn around when they hear an alarm system, cause so many trash ones have been installed and used, and most of the go off for no damn reason.
again, wake up, and if you want to have your car back if it ever goes missing, or if you want a piece of mind while you're in a mall for example. A GPS is the ONLY WAY TO GO!!!! They have really nice units, which will send you a txt message as soon as it leaves the area you parked it, or within a certain range, like a mile. And you can track it via GPS on your smartphone, which its location is updated usually within 5 seconds.
I hope you get your car back, and i hope people smarten up, and stop using these trash alarm systems that just make noise.

It varies to be honest. If you do some looking around, some searching, and spend a little time on it. Friend found one local here in canada. It was about 250$, and i dont think it even had a monthly fee, you just had to buy a "SIM" card for it, and put lets say 40$ on it to last you for the year (not going into detail). There are plenty of options out there.
If you're lazy, you can go with a bigger company and pay anywhere from 10$+/month for their services and usually about 200+ for the unit which you can have PORTABLE in your car, or hard wired.
Matter of fact is, do your research, pick a unit that suits you, and this is the way to keep your car safe, and it is the ONLY way to keep your care safe, and know where it is, at ALL times. Whether you're at home, friends apartment, club, bar, dinner, shopping, you can set a range, if that car goes 1 mile out, you will be notified, and can take action. Rather then wait till its missing for x amount of hours, and before you even make a phone call, it could be sitting in a garage few blocks down getting taken apart.
