Anyone help with Cam Install? Shop or Person...

Just picked up HKS cams and need help installing. Does anyone know of a shop besides: AMS, Speed Quest, Drivers Image (will NOT go there), and Ultimate Driver....OR....does anyone know how to do this themselves?

Since I got the cams....I'm a bit low on funds....so I can't afford the three something AMS wants...besides they can't get me in till after the 26th. I need them done before that.

Any help would be appreciated....and before you post it....I've already seen the EVOMOTO.com write up on how to install them. I'm semi confidant on how to do it....but....I just don't know if I am fully capable of doing it myself.

Thanks

I appreciate your effort....but as I said above...I already have been there and I don't feel confidant enough to do it by myself. That is why I was asking if anyone around could help or someone that has done it would guide me or something to that effect.

My bad, must have not paid attention when i read that part. It was my first time ever doing a cam install or head stud change when I did mine, but I paid extra close attention to detail when I did it and everything was fine. Make sure you get the timing belt tensioner tool, this will save you a hell of a lot of time.

The timing belt tensioner tool is a must. A lot faster with it for sure. You must order it from Miller tool. Mitsubish dealers do not sell them anymore. The cams are not that hard, as long as you take your time and follow the directions at Evomoto.com. It took me about 7 hours total to do mine.

I know the feeling.. I'd much rather pay someone else to do this type of install.. Simply put, I'm confident in my skills, but the time it would take, and the fact that I can sometimes be a little careless on my own cars, means I'd rather pay someone else for the time to do the job WELL.. (Sometimes if you work out what your time is worth to you, you'll quickly realise that the time you spend on doing something yourself, ends up being more expensive than paying someone else since your lost time has value if you could be doing something else that has more value to you.)

Miller tools website is: http://www.spxmiller.com . You have to call them to order.

I don't trust anyone to work on my cars. I know it is done right if I do it myself. Every bolt is torqued (If possible) and things done according to the service manual. If something goes wrong it is a lot easier to troubleshoot, if you did everything yourself.

I would be more than happy to help you, even have the timing belt tensioner tool, but I live in Kansas City which is over 8 hours away.

It's almost to the point of me driving to ya! LOL This is just retarded!!! I can't get any help here and if I take it to like AMS...it's 375 + more for the head bolts!!! I just don't have that kind of cash otherwise I would trust them to do my car.
