my best friend's mom works at a glass/auto shop that does window tinting. I wanted to try n set up something to see if we can get like a group rate. The shop is located in Schaumburg off of Wise Rd. (about 3 blocks west of Roselle Rd.) I don't have prices yet because I don't know how many people would want in. So, Price will be determined after I get a solid number of those interested. So far I have 4 people. This would be for ANY car (doesn't have to be a lancer/evo, etc) BUT I wanna stay consistent and just stick to pricing for 5 windows (2 rear doors, 2 door panels, 1 rear window). If you're interested in having the fronts done as well, please say so and I will ask the owner how much extra. Let me know if you're interested..or if any of your friends/family are interested.

So the 5 window includes the 2 triangles behind the rear doors (is that the door panels you were talking about)? And do you think there will be a price difference for the different levels of tint? I know I had to pay more when I got limo on my camaro. Also, I may be interested in the front sides as well. I need to look into getting a doctor's note for sensitive eyes Thanks!

I believe it's called Leiva Glass. It's a small shop in schaumburg off of wise rd. The shop owner is a patient of ours and my best friend's mom also works there.

Ok well I called them up today and apparently, THEY don't do the tinting, but they referred me to another shop that works with them. The guy who he referred me to is Dave and I don't know exactly the price he's going to give me but turns out the price varies with different cars. so scratch the idea that any car w/ 5 rear windows. He says All windows usually about $225-250, which seems kinda high to me. estimated discount rate is about $150 (I need to double check if that's for ALL windows or just the 5?) I don't know, still seems a little high. Lifetime warranty against bubbling & peeling. additional $40 for visor. He said for some cars he wont even do it b/c it's too much of a hassle to do. Also I will have to call back in a month or so because he says it's busy season right now and around August is the slower time.

Ahhhh forget it...I'm out. I'll get it done cheaper with a free visor. Same guys have tinted my previous cars for years.

Yea i know it sucks. It's cool if you're out. I'm gonna have my friend's mom talk to him. maybe she can convince him to do less.

 

so i talked to my best friend's mom today at work and i told her what a crap *** deal that dave tried to give me. she said she'd talk to another guy who does the tinting. I'll let you guys know once i find out. and reminder, it's for lancers (probably evo too) only and not other cars b/c it'll cost more. (not the same price as i had thought).

 

yeh that's expensive...my sis got her Isuzu tinted Limo black on the the back and a front strip for $100 - 150.

 

i cna get it for 110 are u kidding 150 discounted rate. id liek t oget my car done soon also. anyone know of anywhere around here. i dont want to wait anylonger. i can get done if i go by my dads house but thats a 4hour drive.
