SCCA-Chicago Region Event #2 Auto-x 6/6/2004
SCCA-Chicago Region Event #3 Auto-x 6/6/2004
Although it's more than a week away, there is only 11 spots remaining at this time. Event cap is at 170.
48 people registered for street tire. Jerry and William are in S-SM and pete is in S-ESP. Wonder how things will unfold. Pete has been a problem at the last TSSCC event in Peru. Damn punk!
Where's Bob with his new improved lancer?

EDIT: I made the same mistake as the one on the flyer. We're talking about event #3 here, not 2. Doh!

Yeah graduation, thats why. Bob is just scared of getting whooped again. With that flat Coke on my tires I am gonna look like a slot car on that course.
I am gonna see if I can get permission for the TSSC event the following week. I am really itching to get out and drive too, I threw my back out Satuday the 22nd and today is the first day I am able to drive again.
I read in some other thread you shouldn't use a harness unless you have a roll cage. This is because unlike a regular belt, the harness holds you upright and in a rollover situation this would crush your spine.

SCCA Event 3 - How to get on the Wait List
"SCCA Event 3 - How to get on the Wait List
There are as of Saturday 5/29 at 11am, 6 spots open. They will probably fill up tonight.
Note that the total number will say 174, this is because I have 4 known cancellations of season pre reg drivers (we will run 170 total).
If you would like to be on the Waiting List for Event 3, please email me at registration@scca-chicago.com or call me at 312 310 9090, between 8am and 9 pm. I need your full name, phone number, and car number.
If you are registered but you will not be coming, please let me know so I can give someone else your spot.
If you are a Waiting List driver, you should check in at registration, walk the course, and then come back to the registration table at 8:30 on the morning of the event. If you are not present at 8:30, we will not add you to the event.
As cancellations come in, I make every effort to notify those on the Waiting List when they become confirmed entries. You are encouraged to check email regularly in this regard.
Thanks,
Kirsten Gordon, Registrar

Results aren't posted yet, but not to waste time, i think the event went on really smoothly - the site is nice (especially the air conditioned cafeteria and restrooms right onsite) and the surface is in good shape as well. The course itself was larger than what you'd see at MGA IMO and the fact that you could take all your runs and not warry about cording new tires made for great fun.
The weather played the part and it was nice and sunny throughout the whole day.
We had a fast, open course with times in the 45sec. range for stock cars BUT with no computer glitches and everyone's participation we were able to get in all 6 runs, trophy presentation, and FUN runs and still be out of there around 6pm.
Can't wait for this weeks TSSCC event there.

Hey guys,
Just dropping in to read how things went, looks like a fun day! How was the Alsip location anyway? I can't wait to get back into this, but we got our house so you know how that is. Don't even have time to wash my car let alone race it. Hoping to be at the July 11th one.
Later!
