Just picked up my 04 evo

Just picked up my white 04 evo with wing from Arnold Mitsu on Gratiot on Mon. They treated me really well there.

I really loved my wrx (not an sti but it did run high 12's). This car really feels like 2x the car my little wrx was and I loved it. Monday was the first time I had even got to ride in one lol. I wasn't disapointed.

Man does this car draw a lot more attention at gas stations, burger joints....everywhere, kind of amusing.

Anyway, just wanted to share my excitement. -Wayne

Congrats. I am glad you like it. There are awesome cars and a lot of fun to work with. Did it come with leather. I know some of the 04's come with leather. Did you get a good deal on it? What was the MSRP for the o4?

It is the regular evo. The window sticker is strange....no options on this car. I believe the wing is standard now. No leather or sunroof either....nothing I was really interested in.

I forget the msrp....but I paid just a touch over 30 for it.

I think I have decided to go with the Buschur exhaust with magnaflow muffler, 30% tint, and the evo uk badge as far as my first mods here very soon.

This car is so fun...I feel like I am 16 again. The handling is just amazing...as I will probably keep it below 4000rpm till about 1000mi or so. -Wayne

Congra! Go crusing on gratiot and you will get pick on by SRT4s Not many EVOs cruising on Gratiot the last time I was there. They didn't pick on me either. I did ran one on first gear roll and kill it by 2nd gear. It would have been nice to see how many cars I would be ahead by 3rd gear but as you know you can't really race on Gratiot.

Wayne - I have also pretty much decided to go the Buschur route. Are you going down there for the install and flash (stage 1 route) or are you getting it installed locally. I know Dynoflash is going to be at Buschur in August for some custom tunes.

atc- The exhaust just came yesterday. I am geeked to get it on - I will be installing it 2night or this weekend myself. Really curious as to how loud or quiet this exhaust with be with the magnaflow and no cat. As far as engine management...I still haven't decided. I really like the aem and the guys at Payn in Troy are very familiar with tuning them (if I can get a good deal on one). But the next version of utec looks nice as well.

This summer I want to do cams and eng. mngmt really soon with a custom tune from Payn. They tuned my 12 sec. wrx really well.

I was wondering who that was... I was the Lightning Yellow that was behind you for ~1.5 miles.
