It was a really fun, fast course. It was fast enough to require a shift to 3rd gear in a couple sections. Even better, we converted another Subaru owner to join the EVO ranks!!!!!!

I think just about everyone went to 3rd gear once, some did it two times. S2000s (and some other cars) went to 1st for the turn-around too. Overall it was a great course, requiring one to force him/herself to keep the right foot to the floor and pay attention to the cones/gates approaching at what appeared warp speed.

Nature of that course is best described as "hang them if you've got them"...

Thanks to Bill for letting me take an instructional run in the EVO. It just confirmed my belief in how stupid fast that car really is

Who's the new member of the EVO cult? I must've missed that.

To make it easier for you, click here to register for the next SCCA-CR event (October 10th Chicago/Milwaukee Challenge at Miller Park Milwaukee) and here to register for the next TSSCC event (October 2nd or 3rd at a new location/event site).

Additional things to note:
1. Please note that the Oct 10th event (#6) has turned into the Chicago/Milwaukee challenge. The top 30 indexed times from each club will be used with the lowest combined time winning a trophy. Due to the larger expected turnout we're limiting this event to SCCA members only. Membership applications will be available onsite although pre-registering is encouraged. Dual members will use their region of record for challenge purposes.

2. SCCA-CR Solo Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7:00pm Original Frankly Yours, 1820 W Irving Park Road, Schaumburg.

3. Tri-State Membership Meetings are held on the 1st Monday of each month at 7:30pm at: Fuddrucker's,1500 Branding Lane, Downers Grove, IL 60515
Phone: 630-963-0404 (Just south of Butterfield Rd, east of 355)

See you at the TSSCC meeting tomorrow. (it was moved from Monday to Tuesday due to the Labor Day Holiday)

No problem, Now I know it's not the car that's slow. Thanks for the tips, now I just have to remember them.

Eric w/ the white RS is the new guy. He used to own a WRX wagon.
