Exclamation GReddy RS BOV VTA questions and HOW MUCH BOOST DO YOU GUYS HAVE? (almost stock setup)

Hey

got a GReddy type RS BOV. Just found out its VTA. geeze, no wonder I had some not so smooth idles. Well what is weird is that my car is actually running fine now... idling nicely, etc. The tuner owner told me that don't worry about it, the EVO's ECU automatically adjusts or "learn" the BOV's vented air. Is this TRUE?? Also there is this screw that adjusts 'Soft' vs 'Hard'. My friend told the tuner to put it all the way to hard, cause he want it loud... Afterwards I thought it was stupid. Plus on the highways, when i partially lift up the gas, my car surges.... so I turned the screw to the left...I dunno how much, a lot? now its smoother. So my questions is, after read this thread about Testing BOVs, and explaining BOVs by SILVER SURFER, I m wondering how far should i turn this screw to the soft. Does the TYPE RS leak?? and how can u tell.

And to my second part. I got this intake adapter kit and this in house brand high flow air filter. After know about the higher air temp problem w/ inside hood intake filters, i thought of a solution...
So i still have the plastic piece of air inlet that use to run to the intake box. So now I just mounted that plastic piece, and VOILA, the exit sits just near the airfilter. Hopefully this will bring some cooler air around the intake filter... what do u guys think?? any better suggestions??
I did a test drive tonight, STL highways are like empty around 12am. Anyways in fourth gear flooring the gas... My girlfriend said i hit max of 21PSI on my boost gauge. and seems to hold it . I went from 3000 to around 6000ish (can'tgo to fast, cops). So is 21PSI okay for a EVO w/ a RS Blowoff valve, intake filter??
