Gilles Panizzi down to fourth after a tough afternoon w/ a car he describes as "very nervous"
Miko Hirvonen lost almost two minutes w/ center diff problems making him do 3point turns on the hairpins on this tricky Monte.

Such excitement on the opening leg
Skoda's wining stages, placing in the top 3 most of the rally so far.
Loeb crashing out

Gronholm leading, and Ford Killing all in their way; for the win

Subarus UN-Nominated driver Chris Atkinson up to third on his first MONTE!!!!

Toni "the other Finn " Gardemeister in a superb 3rd overall in the Peugoet 307

Panizzi back to a familar form and poised to do his thing just 7.3 seconds adrift of Gardemeister

And Long time OMV driver Manfred Stohl is in 5th Showing is Experience and potential just like Duval

Duval supprising all and giving Skoda a much derserved Stage victory and sitting down in a respectfull 6th place

Subaru's Petter Solberg rueing his poor tire choices and way down the order
and he may be out due to oil leak on the last stage, causing massive internal damage that cannot be repaired in the 2hr 45min service he's allowed
We don't know if he's going to be starting tommorrow. we'll just have to wait and see

Atkinson up to second place, and I hope he whoops Gronholm's ***! Looks like Suby could have a big year even if they don't score any points this race.

Whats so sweet about it, is this is his first monte in a WRC car, and only his second season at the top.. God that guy is going to be quick and handing the suby colors to everyone on a silver platter.... he's one to watch, along Mikko over with ford, up and coming drivers that have shown the pace and only need the years to solidify their results..
now if I can only drum up some picks of the event while its going on.. anyone find some post the links..ok back to trolling the rally sites for more info...

Loeb is charging hard, and is in 4th only 2min. 41 sec. behind Gronholm. He swept the stages today! If he makes it up tomorrow just crown him the greatest ever and be done with it. Atkinson has dropped back into 6th but Sarrazin has moved up to 5th, with Gardemeister and Stohl in 2nd and 3rd clinging to a 30ish second lead over Loeb.
