Retarded WRC Drift - Gigi Galli
Check out the last drift in this video. I thought he was just screwing around and was going to do a spinout or slide into a parellel park between all of those cars.
(I searched around and didn't see this posted previously, sorry if it's a repost)
There are other Galli vids here: http://www.gigigalli.com/video.htm
Including one of him testing the Evo 9 WRC car.

It's a super old vid, but one of the sickest by far.

My questions are:
1) how do you practice that?
2) how do you have the ***** to do it around cars and people?
Rally drivers really have to have 100% faith in their cars. You have to know that it's going to do exactly what you want, there is really no room for error on any portion of a rally course, and this vid proves not only the driver's ability, but also the consistency and ability of the cars that they drive. If you love rally vids, check out this site below. The vids are huge but some of the best compliations I've seen!

Yeah I like the way he's playing with the camera, winking, waving to the spectators while drifting around a bend. He just seems to be having fun. Some of those guys are so tense and focused, even after the race, it's just painful to watch the interviews.

Hey man, I honestly searched for the video, by the URL and the driver's name. Everyone else seems to enjoy the post, either it's new to them, or a nice reminder. So you and your boyfriend in the clever little graphic can bite me.
In Europe, the rally routes are pre-driven (recce) sp?
So the co-driver and the driver are in sync with the route and the notes. The driver have ultimate trust with the co-pilot. If there are any doubt the team won't be fast because the driver is not going or giving 100%.
The only way to practice is either a school or lots of seat time. Get familiar with the car that you will be driving and all the little characteristics and behaviors that come with it.

Edit*OFF TOPIC but still rally, I as watching a couple of Suby Test videos and Tommi M. Was invited on the show with his WRC car and these japanese street car tuners thought they could beat him in there street cars VS him...in his car.....After they were BLOWN away by tommi the tuners just kept going on about how crazy he is....
