XS Engineering Wins Redline Time Attack!

Team XS notches up yet another win at the most recent Redline/Modified Magazine Time Attack held on March 5, 2006 at the California Speedway in Fontana, California. This was the first meeting between the XS Engineering-built R32 Skyline GTR and our driver, Tarzan Yamada.

Team XS set the pace early-on but faced fierce competition as the other entrants in the Unlimited AWD class made steady progress throughout the day. As our competitors' lap times fell, adjustments to aerodynamics and power delivery were called for. This setup proved to be a wise decision as it yielded a blistering 1:07.63 - easily over 3.5 seconds quicker than the next closest competitor. This time remained the fastest of the event and was good enough for us to win both the Unlimited AWD Championship well as the Overall Championship!

We would also like to congratulate the XS-tuned, RRR-prepared Mazda RX-7 of Jack Mardikian for winning the Unlimited RWD Championship and placing 2nd in the Overall Championship with a time of 1:09.06.

congrats.

Where are all the American hot-shoes, or is a japanese driver part of the 'time-attack' winning formula?

how did the Evo camp do?

it's all about where your focus is, right? Still, had the fastest EVO & second fastest AWD car at the event.

It's all about the contiuous improvement the car and the driver though.

Thanks nils!

We may not always win, but we're never going to stop trying!
