Question Where do I buy EcuFlash?

Were do you guys buy flashing software for the IX's, and all these dataloging devise's for our cars?
I searched for about a half and hour and haven't found anything useful. Also, is this software like SCT, and Super Tuners. I am around alot of guys that give me sh*t for owning an Evo (but they do respect them) cause all them have GM's and Fords . My one buddy use's SCT for custom tuning Fords factory ECM's, and use's Super Tuners or LS1 Edit for the Chevy's.
So EcuFlash is the samething, right? It's just for Evo's..... so were do I buy it?

I found this;
http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...&cat=45&page=1

but it is for an 8.

The flashing software is free. Download here:
http://www.openecu.org/index.php?title=EcuFlash

You need a Tactrix cable. You can order it here:
http://www.tactrix.com/product_info....737dd26955e1c4

The 1.3m cable that you would need is currently on backorder. Should be availible at the end of the month per Colby.

To log you need the EvoScan software. It uses the same cable as ECUFlash. To order Evoscan go here:

http://www.limitless.co.nz/EvoScan/

Hope this helps.

As long as you rememeber what all your stock values were and change them all back, you'd be able to flash it back to stock. I'm not sure if you can "save different flashes" but you can always undo what you've done if you keep track of everything you change.

Not yet. The developers are planning to add that functionality. Check out EVOScan http://www.limitless.co.nz/EvoScan/ it is the best we have so far.

You guys are confusing the software and the cable.. The ECUFlash SOFTWARE currently does not datalog, you would use EVOScan to data log using the cable..

And if you save your stock rom off your car before anything is changed, you can put it right back on..

BUT, I definitely suggest taking some time and learning a little bit about all of this stuff, or having a Tuner such as Dynoflash set you up with a map you can flash onto your car..

The more you know, the less trouble you'll have..

BTW ... The cable is well worth the wait.

What happens if you try to use ECUFlash on an ECU that's been flashed by Dynoflash? What happens if you tryo t use ECUFlash on an ECU that's been flashed by a tuner using ECUTek?

That's basically what you're are going to get with an off-the-shelf flash.

It's usually a good idea to use a wideband and logging device and fine
tune your own car. Or have it tuned by a professional.

That depends on how far/agressive the tune was done on the first car. Also keep in mind that there are more variables that go into a car's performance than just the mods.
