Tire blowout for odd reason - please help!

So I was driving to work today in the freakin 120 degree weather (or a least is feels like it) today when I realized my tire decided to go on me. Normally I wouldn't be asking but when I took the tire off I saw something very weird. The tire basically looked like the entire inside area of the tire was completely worn to the threads, but only like an inch or so in. The outside looked completely normal. (By inside I mean inner most section of the tire actually facing the body of the car) When I checked my other tire (front driver side) it looked like there is alot of wear there as well. So now I have two questions.

1) Why would the tire be wearing like that?

2) Should I replace two or all four since the tires are fairly new?

I do have to admit I'm not that good about rotating my tires, but in the past the wear always seemed to be on the outside of the tire, and I usually used that as a indicator.

All help is appreciated. Thanks!!

I can guarantee your toe is off by quite a bit.
Toe will cause extreme tire wear.

BTW, I recommend changing both front tires to new ones.

So my toe is off you think? I was thinking something with the camber/toe but since I know absoluetly ZERO about that kinda thing I figured I would ask. I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like I had the car aligned fairly recently and it took unsually long because I felt like the guy doing it had zero clue of how to do it. You think I can go back there and have them pay for the tires since the moron screwed up? Probably not a shot in hell huh? Lol.

Anyway, you think I can get away with just replacing the front two tires and leaving the rears as is? That's what I was hoping because they look fine.

if it is an evo you have to replace all 4 tires.

if the rear tires have some wear on it I would recommend you change all 4 tires.
If the rears looks ok, it should be ok to replace the fronts.

BTW, can you post a copy of scan of the alignment ?
It would help if we have something to look at to decided if it was the alignment or you not checking for proper inflation of the tires.

In case you didn't know, you should make a habit of checking your tire pressure on a weekly basis.
Proper alignment and tire inflation is critical for tire life.

I think the pressure was good - i checked it like 3 weeks ago, I def didn't know I should be checking weekly though. Good to know.

Where would I get a copy of the scan aligment? From the guys who did it a couple of months ago? I sure don't have that.

well..if you dont have a copy of the specs then it's kind of hard for us to help you.

I would replace the front tires and have them re-align the car.
Make sure you take the car to a different alignment shop if the one before is a questional shop.

Good luck.
