I currently have an injen cold air intake. I think cold air intake is better. While short ram gives u about 7 hp, cold air gives u about 9 or 10. Its not much of a difference at all, but cold air helps a little bit more. However, with cold air, you have to be careful about rain and puddles. The location of a cold air is low on the car, so a big enough puddle, and not taken carefully, you can flood your engine. but dont worry too much, ive had mine for about a month, been through rain, and even puddles (carefully of course, avoid if u can), and no problems as of yet. If you can spare the extra bucks (about $35), i would invest in a hydro shield. Its a very tight mesh that blocks practically all the water from entering the filter. Unless you completely submerged the air filter (which wuld b dumb), you should b fine. as for brand, Injen, i love it. for pics, check out my garage gallery, https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ga...ancer2008.html.

cai consistently have higher hp gains than short ram intakes, but they are also alittle more pricy.
if you do go with the cai you just need to keep an eye out for hydro lock, as ace already stated. but if you get a hydro shield and a bypass valve you should be alright. aem makes one and if you need more info on how the valve works try here. \/\/ http://www.modified.com/tech/0104scc...lve/index.html
