How To Request: Removing Trunk

Hi there, I may swap my friend's trunk with mine because he has a wingless trunk and I'm getting a lip. Anyone know where a how to is on how to remove our trunk? I've searched google and multiple forums.

Thanks! I'd love not to have to plug my holes.

I'm going to throw this out there, and maybe I just don't know. Isn't removing a trunk simply like 4 bolts? Obviously you'd want to remove any cabling etc. a remote release, if you have one, but if you're swapping with someone, wouldn't they have everything else that you need?

I suppose you would want to swap the key mechanism, but that was easy too. I know for my platform is was extremely easy to swap trunks. I do realize reading about this before you jump in would be great. Regardless, good luck!

Exactly how I feel. I'd be relieved if it was that simple. I figured it wouldn't be difficult and we both do not own a GTS so we don't have the fast key nonsense.

Basically, that is what I wanted to hear.

Just four bolts. No need to swap any wiring/cables.

Did this ~1 year ago to go wingless.

Ah very nice, exactly what I wanted to hear. Seems like the wiring just pops out as well... I hope it goes easily.

Pretty sure the trunk just unbolts with the four bolts that hold the pneumatic cylinders in place.
