Not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere. Would the RA nose ring fit the ES nose/grill/stock bumper? Or would I need to install the RA grill as well? Has anyone tried this?

 

upon more research, apparently not. back to the drawing board.

 

why won't it fit? i heard the RA bumper will fit my 08 GTS just fine, but the Evo's are wider and won't fit

 

the RA bumper as a whole will fit; but the RA bumper has a "groove" for the chrome nose ring. the es doesn't have this groove so the chrome ring can't be transplanted directly.

 

ooooooh i read this wrong.. thought he was talking about the bumper, not the chrome overlay around the nose. i'm sure with a little handy work they could make a groove.. not sure if i'd wanna cut my bumper though

 

A relatively cheap alternative to the groove is purchasing black paint and a roll of chrome. You can remove your grill and paint it black and then apply the chrome using the provided 3M adhesive and just stick it to your bumper. I have done this with my vehicle and it looks amazing:

 

Did you use the 1/4" or 1/2" custom chrome? Im looking to do this to my Tarmac Black 2011 GTS. Thanks.
