3m invisable protector

I was just curious if anyone here has happened to use the 3M 'invisable' scotch gaurd protector that you can put on the nose of your car. I was really curious to know whether or not that would be easily seen on a graphite grey pearl IX. It sounds too good to be true..any insight would be great

I don't have one personally, but I did see one at a dealership on a GG 8 MR. You could clearly see the edge where it joined the car, but it's not that noticeable.

I would love to know if they damage the paint when they are removed, though, and if stone chips show up worse on them than the original paint.

These are also known as clear bras. You can definitely see the edge on your car. There is a line where the bra ends. It won't damage your paint and you can remove it at any time. It definitely protects your car from rock chips. After 5000 miles and a track event, the front of my car still looks flawless. How it looks on your car really depends on the skill of the installer.

I have it and love it. From the front you can't see it. Side view it's tough to see from 5 feet away. 20K mile on my 05 and still no chips on the front. Best money I've spent since I bought the car.

Let us know how it fits. I guess you gotta get someone to install it. I would like just the front bumper done.

How much for labor?
