Hard shifting?
Hard shifting?
I seem to have a problem... well not sure its a problem. When coming to stop in auto/sport mode 1st gear seems to engage pretty hard(loud thud), when I take back off, if I don't come to a complete stop, kinda like a california stop....lol Anyone else having a similar issue? I don't want to have to de-mod my car to take it to the stealership unless I have to....this is the first car I've owned that wasn't a stick.
Thanks

Agree with Lodi, the SST doesn't really like rolling stops and starts...it has problems deciding which gear to go into, and usually pics the wrong gear to down shift. I usually drive in manual and try not to allow the TCU to do too much thinking. A good tune will help with some of the random clunkyness that can occur with the SST (me and Lodi can both atest to it).

My drive to work every day is on a street where the speed limit is 25, and I have 2 stop signs. I usually pull the california stop, and it's always smooth as silk. But then again. I'm 100% stock.
Drive in manual mode and it stops the Death Clunk, or just wait 2 seconds at each stop, which is a pain in the ****. Yeah you have a ton of shiiiit on the car, I'd bet they would even deny your for the coil overs. This tranny is the reason I have kept minimal mods. 305whp/320wtq is pretty good for me at this point.

Nice laundry list of mods TeegsMR!! I bet you're the most worried considering the tranny now definitely isn't warrantied. HEHE. How's your MR been performing with all those mods?
I've experienced this hard thud especially when in rolling stops. Feels like I get rear ended and I instantly look at my rearview.
I was curious why you went with the HKS BOV instead of the OEM Recirc.

should note that mine is a '10 (and doesn't thud... though i do feel the clutch engagement, but not any harder than a 1 -> 2 shift). so, i'm not sure if that makes a difference. but i did hear the '10's have a little different TSS programming.
