What's up with this?

I have an Evo X MR. I recently got it tuned last weekend. I knew that the clutch would slip because i made 340 hp. It started slipping even on the dyno. I had been taking it easy on the car untill i can get the money for an upgrade. Yesterday i got a wild hair and decided to see what it could do. I went threw first gear, It slipped, but it didn't feel like just a slip. My service engine soon came on right after. And stayed on untill i got home. It drove fine all the way. The light hasn't came on since. I was just wondering why the service light cam on. Any comments?

Your text is large.

You probably exceeded the torque limit, it loled at you, and then reset itself when you got back home.

The "it loled at you" part had me on the floor, man. Two points for you.

Sounds weird. I know the CEL will sometimes come on after stalling. Is the car acting funny now?

The MR has a lot of safety features where it tells the car to go into a 'safe mode' it could be because you are pushing the car?

The real question is, what code did the car throw? That will give you an answer I bet.

The next time the SES light comes on take it to Auto Zone and have them pull the code. My GSR did that a few times and it was the torque limit.

there are SST maps that need to be modified for the increased power. Did your tuner do this?

I'd contact GST or HB Speed and have them help you with your tune. You definitely need a tuner that is familiar with the SST tables at the power level you are making.
