aem cai, ur resonated test pipe, ur uicp, grimmspeed 3 port, ur FMIC, tomei cat back titanium, half tank of gas no spare or jack.

for some reason unsure of maybe my shift points, but i got faster with the half tank of gas before going home lol, the previous 2 runs were done with literally zero bars showing on the tank. 12.88w/half tank

GREAT INFO, i love specs. along with what work is done

What is the Grimmspeed 3 port, also do you have a tune..either way thanks for the good post

With less than 1/2 tank the Evo X will start having fuel starvation issues under hard acceleration and/or cornering as the fuel will slosh around leaving the pickup sucking air and the motor running lean momentarily. Always race with around 1/2 tank or greater. Ideally one should install a surge tank or internal baffles but I just make sure I have lots of fuel. This will get worse as you mod the motor and acceleration forces increase.

correct, but i was willing to try anything to hit 12's, it seems every video i see on here the track slopes downwards. My home track Cayuga/Toronto Motorsport Park yadda etc, seems to go up?

great for high power cars that stick in neutral and roll back to the line, but i think kills my 60ft a bit.

My 60' time went from 1.9x to 1.76 with nothing more than a change from Mitsu. Diaqueen SST fluid to Willall SST fluid.

Point was; this is the reason you went faster on 1/2 tank. If you go a little lean you may go faster or break, if you go way lean like when the fuel pick up is sucking air momentarily the motor will sputter just like hitting the rev limiter (which is aft all just a a fuel cut off). Been there, done that, very frustrating.

PS: I have not been to the drag strip in 6 months, I just ordered a BBX turbo and widedmouth DP and plan on tuning for E85 if the SST will handle it, results in a couple of weeks (my DD is starting to catch my race car )

Went back to the track yesterday vs some local guys who always just want to streetrace yadda yadda etc. So i brought them to the track to show em how its done.

Anyways better results, still same modifications as listed above, UR resonated test pipe, UR FMIC, UR UICP, AEM CAI, Grimmspeed 3port, Cobb accessport, half tank of fuel, no spare tire, jack

now to the results

Started off the night with a friend whom i brought to the track, we ran a 13.02@110, right off the 1.5 hr long drive there mind you, did a lap, pulled back up pulled off a 12.98, so basically with a friend i finally have a 12 second car.

By myself

and finally

all on 94 octane, weather was about 19 celcius, one of the better nights, but not the coldest ive run. You can see by one of the 60ft times, theres more in the car edit : car makes 315whp/316wtq on dynojet

Nice numbers.... Now If I could only find out what I did wrong, lol.

I did all the steps talked about here and other topics. As so as the car started moving, I felt and heard the boost kicking in and around 6K rpms that trans let go which cause me to hit redline like 3 times. It sucked, . I was hoping it was the AP but I see yours is working now.

stripped the car last nite, seats, sub, entire trunk etc. Couldnt do any better then a 12.6 and with a passenger to boot. He was good luck, i couldnt shift for crap without him.

on a side note i hit 112mph with a passenger in car, i shat on every m3 out there and a few stis, with their "upgraded turbos" what a joke. Might be my area, but no stis here are any good, just sound good.

Wicked Passes of the nite

Mustang GT500, street tires, exhaust, cams, tuned, more psi run 10.9@140mph (kicked no rollcage)

Corvette ZR1 stock, ran a 11.1@133mph kicked also for no roll cage.

2010 GTR stock, was learning his car apparently first few runs, was funny to watch. Anyways he got a good run in and ran a 11.3@125mph and was then told not to do again, clearly he did, was kicked was funny.
